In order to achieve the purpose of its activities, the DeFi Association will handle members' personal information (personal information as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) in an appropriate manner, and will make every effort to protect and use it appropriately in accordance with the following personal information protection policy.

The Association will not provide the personal information of its members to third parties without permission, except in cases where there are legitimate reasons
In managing members' personal information, the Association will endeavor to take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent and correct leaks, loss, and damage, and to otherwise safely manage the information
The Association shall comply with laws and regulations regarding the handling of members, and shall abide by guidelines and other norms established by the government
The Association shall establish a contact point for complaints and consultations from members regarding the protection of personal information, and shall endeavor to take appropriate measures

Handling of Personal Information

(1) Purpose of use of personal information
The purpose of use of personal information obtained by the Association is as follows:

To operate the Association in order to achieve the purpose of its activities
to approve the admission of members
to send newsletters, event information, and various other notices
for personnel management, including various recruitment activities, and related operations
If personal information is to be used for any purpose other than those listed above, it will be presented in advance when the personal information is obtained

(2) Disclosure and provision of personal information to third parties
In principle, the Association will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the member. However, in the following cases, personal information may be provided without the member's consent as long as it does not violate laws and regulations.

in the event that the member is deemed to have a disadvantage or negative impact on the association or other members
when it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound growth of children, and when it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
When the disclosure of personal information is requested by the public prosecutor's office, the police, a court of law, or an agency with equivalent authority
When a member requests the disclosure or provision of personal information to a third party
When required by law

(3) Handling on the Web
The use of websites, forums, and other tools, including SNS accounts, managed by the Association shall be done at the user's own risk. In no event shall the Association be held liable for any damages resulting from the use of information obtained from websites and tools managed by the Association or from external sites to which links have been provided.

(4) Statistical Use of Data
The Association may create and use personal information provided to the Association as statistical data that has been processed so that individuals cannot be identified.

(5) Supervision of Contractors, Officers and Other Related Persons
In order to ensure the safe management of personal information, the JBBA will ensure that contractors, officers, and other related persons involved in the business of the JBBA are aware of the importance of such information and will supervise them appropriately. When entrusting the handling of personal information to a third party, we will select the third party appropriately and supervise the third party appropriately.

(6) Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Association may change its privacy policy from time to time, except as otherwise provided by law.
